Ernie Sturzinger, PT, DPT, ATC
Physical Therapist, Clinic Director
Ernie earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Pacific University in 2008. He obtained a degree in Athletic Training from George Fox University in 2004.
Presently, Ernie is employed full-time in the clinic and also volunteers as an adjunct Athletic Trainer at Oregon City High School.
He is a participating member of the APTA, APTA - Orthopedic Section, OPTA, and a board member of Oregon Orthopedic Physical Therapy Study Group (OOPTSG). Ernie specializes in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation and post-surgical care.
Ernie and his wife, Megan, enjoy hiking, camping, cycling, and traveling throughout the U.S. and abroad.
Jennifer McDugle, PT
Physical Therapist
Jennifer McDugle, PT grew up in Olympia, Washington and attended Tumwater high school. After high school Jennifer went to Western Washington University where she got her B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science. Jennifer continued graduate school at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California where she graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2009.
Jennifer's main interests are orthopedic manual therapy and exercise, but Jennifer also enjoys working with neurological injuries and has completed a PNF rehab program at Kaiser Vallejo.
When not at work Jennifer enjoys all outdoor sports including; backpacking, rock climbing, white water rafting, scuba diving and skiing.
Anna Gayvert, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
Annie graduated from the University of Portland with her B.S. in Life Science in 2007. She then went on to receive her doctor of physical therapy from the University of Montana in 2011, where she completed research in Chiang Mai, Thailand on the activity levels of children. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, and her professional interests include sports rehabilitation, orthopedics, and manual therapy. She grew up near Missoula, MT and feels at home in the outdoors. Annie enjoys running, mountain biking, rock climbing, and traveling to new places.
Steve Alstot, PT
Physical Therapist, Owner
Steve, an owner of ProActive, attended the University of Oregon, graduating in 1986 with a BS in physical education. He attended Northwestern University and earned a BS in physical therapy in 1987.
Steve specializes in physical capacity evaluations, work conditioning/rehabilitation, and ergonomics. He also enjoys working with post surgical and sport injuries.
He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Oregon Physical Therapy Association, and volunteers on the government affairs committee.
Steve was appointed to the Oregon Physical Therapist Licensing Board in November, 2005, and is currently the Vice Chair.
In his spare time, Steve enjoys bicycling, running, family time with camping, hiking, and soccer.
Melissa Martin, ATC

Melissa Martin, ATC grew up in Glide, OR and graduated from Glide High School in 2004. She attended George Fox University and played on the women's varsity basketball team. In 2008 she graduated with her B.S. while majoring in Athletic Training and Physical Education. She is the head Athletic Trainer at Oregon City High School and is the Marketing Coordinator for ProActive Physical Therapy, focusing on the Canby and Oregon City clinics.
Melissa enjoys playing basketball, reading, spending time with her family and friends. Melissa is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, and the Oregon Athletic Trainers Society.
